Remember we used to roll up a newspaper, cut from top to halfway down all layers, and then pull out the inner tip - to make a tree?

This might help in elucidating a method to crochet seashells with tall spires.

This is Fibonacci series made in a flat spiral. It works out as a 6 1/2 sided polygon, with crests. I published the earlier work to 233 stitches perimeter in Post of ...24/12/2015....
This one is 377. All the mathematics is in previous post mentioned.

My new solar system. One panel on the roof; inverter; 12 volt; I can charge up my mobile phone etc but we still do not have internet or proper mobile phone reception in our town!
